Get out of town! Literally. In this class, you’ll be taking day and weekend field trips to exciting places, including exciting wilderness adventures. This is a great opportunity to learn basic black and white photography skills or a new and unusual process. Open to all students.

Instructors: Natalie Tranelli and Sally Bozzuto
7 week course, Wednesdays, September 13 – October 25

Get Out of Here
Instructor: Dror Yaron
7 week course, Thursdays, September 14 – October 26

This course will take you places – each day of the class is a field trip. From the panoramic views of Mount Washington’s new overlooks to the alternative culture of Free Ride Bikers, you’ll document the people you meet and the sites and events you visit using a 35mm SLR camera in black and white and in color. Plus, you can help determine what field trip we take. To enroll in this course, you must be enrolled in another photography course this quarter.

Rhythm Matrix
Instructor: Germaine Watkins
7 week course, Fridays, September 15 – October 27

Banging. Slamming. Buzzing. Our lives are full of rhythm and we’ll be exploring that theme through photography. Whether exploring the rhythms of jazz at an MCG jazz concert or considering how the impact of images can change through repetition, we’ll be toying with pattern photographically. This is a good chance to learn black and white photography skills, and to look at photography from a whole new perspective. Open to all students.
